ATIV does not currently use affiliate links. Every button on this site links to a vendor's official website, and ATIV earns nothing when you click one or buy something after arriving. If we join an affiliate program in the future, this page will be updated before the first such link appears, and the affected links will be labeled.
Here is the rule that will govern affiliate money if ATIV ever earns any: it does not change rankings, scores, or which tools appear in a roundup. Several tools we recommend have no affiliate program at all, and some paying programs belong to tools we rank in the middle of a list or leave out entirely. If a tool is the right answer for the reader the article is written for, it leads the article whether or not it could ever pay us.
Every article on ATIV carries a short disclosure near the top stating that its links are plain links to official sites, and the same note appears in the footer of every page. We would rather show a plain link to a vendor's homepage than disguise an untracked link as something else; if a link on this site ever carries tracking, this page and the article disclosures will say so first.
Prices and plan details in our articles are taken from vendor pricing pages and dated. Vendors change pricing often; if a number here disagrees with the vendor's current page, the vendor's page is right and ours needs an update.
You can always navigate to a vendor directly by typing its address instead of clicking our links. The recommendations stay the same either way, which is rather the point of this page.
